EFACIS Student Representative – Opportunity Available!

Are you a Postgraduate Student in Irish Studies?

EFACIS is looking for its first Student Representative! We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic registered postgraduate student to represent the views of our growing student membership at EFACIS Board Meetings and assist promotion of EFACIS events. If you are interested in taking on the role of Student Representative, for the period of 1 year, please contact Dr. Seán Crosson with an expression of interest (max. 500 words), a CV, and a reference from your supervisor. The deadline for receipt of applications is 31st July 2017.

The Student Representative role will include:

  • Attending the EFACIS Board Meeting (s)
  • Represent the views of EFACIS student members
  • Assist in the organisation of the EFACIS PhD Seminar
  • Contribute to the maintenance of the EFACIS website and social media accounts
  • Contribute to the monitoring of the EFACIS email account
  • Represent EFACIS at conferences

Selection criteria for Student Representatives:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Organizational and planning skills
  • Social media experience
  • Interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to:
  • participating in meetings
  • communicating with the students across Europe via email and social media
  • devoting about four hours a week towards the role
