Dear members of AEDEI, dear colleagues and dear friends,
Wishing you all a very happy St Patrick’s Day, I am delighted to inform you of the publication of issue number 16 of our journal Estudios Irlandeses. This is a rich volume that features not only the usual scholarly articles, an interview, a translation, a think piece and the year in review in Spain and around the world, but also a new section, an annual report on literary and cultural events in Ireland. The contents can be accessed in the following link: https://www.estudiosirlandeses.org/issue/issue-16/.
Let me also announce that the Call for Papers for issue number 17 of the journal, to be published in March 2022, is open. Please note that potential authors will now subscribe to a personal ethical code and will submit their proposals following a new style sheet (author-date system) and a template. You will find this information in the section “Submissions / New Issue” at https://www.estudiosirlandeses.org/submissions-new-issue/.
Estudios Irlandeses is the scholarly journal of the Spanish Association for Irish Studies (AEDEI). Open accessed, it is published online once a year, around St Patrick’s Day, covering a broad scope of interdisciplinary approaches within the field of Irish studies. Each issue includes original articles, interviews, literary translations and a comprehensive review of Irish-themed books produced the year before both in Spain and around the world. Its publication policy is subject to a double-bind peer review process and guarantees a sound, unbiased and fair evaluation conducted by an expert. With a vision to reach a wide international audience, the mission of Estudios Irlandeses is to offer high-quality research and knowledge relevant for a specialist and non-specialist readership.
I take this chance to remind you that the high standard of the journal keeps increasing. Awarded with the FECYT quality seal for excellence in scientific journals, it has recently been re-assessed and it is now included in the two language and linguistics, and literature and culture areas. It is also indexed in the following directories and databases: Scopus, Emerging Sources Citation Index, MLA, DOAJ, Academic Search Premier, Directory of Open Access Journals, MIAR, ERIHPlus, Latindex and Dialnet. Ranked by Scimago with a H Index 3, it has a SJR of 0.13 and has reached a 9.7 ICDS score.
